The Senior Interior Designer – Site Execution will be responsible for managing and coordinating all interior design-related site activities, ensuring the project is delivered in line with drawings, specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

The main duties of the Senior Interior Designer – Site Based include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Report directly to the Resident Engineer and liaise with the Interior Design Consultant
  • Oversee day-to-day site activities related to interior works and fit-out
  • Review and respond to contractors submittals (shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions, material fixtures, etc.) and ensure that all submittals are as per design / specification and local authority.
  • Work closely with contractors to ensure buildability and execution feasibility
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, and compliance
  • Resolve site issues, clashes, and coordination challenges across disciplines (MEP, structure, architecture)
  • Track and manage snagging, de-snagging, and handover processes
  • Support program management and progress tracking for interior works
  • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and site safety standards
  • Liaise with procurement teams on material delivery and installation sequencing
  • Preparation and presentation of interior design and finishes to client and project team
  • Attends client meetings and records discussion through minutes of the meeting
  • Responsible for the interior design requirements and fulfilment of client’s needs
  • Respond to RFIs pertaining to interior design. Assist design office in answering design related RFIs and correspond in coordination with the project lead.
  • Conducts regular site inspections to ensure work progresses as per approved interior design.
  • Evaluate and give recommendation on alternative proposal; for value engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge base in finishes and FF&E and local market.
  • Managing the approval of site mock ups with the client and PMC
  • Attends technical and design coordination meetings, provides practical solutions to design issues and concerns.
  • Ability to provide monthly reports.
  • Detail oriented person and must have an eye for design
  • Familiar with the local and international building codes, regulations, and safety codes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in interior design, with at least 5 years in a senior role delivering high-end hospitality projects in the UAE.
  • Proven track record in delivering five-star hotel projects.
  • Strong understanding of UAE local codes, regulations, and authority requirements.
  • Expertise in detailing joinery, casework, millwork, and built-in elements.
  • Familiarity with premium global brands in FF&E, plumbing fixtures, appliances, architectural hardware, and sanitary ware.
  • Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple workstreams.
  • Demonstrated experience with large-scale hospitality projects, including hotels and restaurants
  • Experienced in hospitality and residential projects
  • ID Fit out contractor experience is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in various design software such as CAD ,Revit are required and  Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup are added advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and able to communicate clearly and efficiently
  • Strong command in executing the works as per the design have demonstrated skills in decision making
  • Comfortable in fast paced environments and can work under pressure
  • Good hand sketching ability to demonstrate ideas

  • Produce detailed design and construction drawing packages.
